A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the communities we serve. Below are some of our projects undertaken to helps obtain this goal.

CLUB HOLDS successful Yough River tire removal Oct. 28 with help from Yough Canoe Outfitters, BVA High School Outdoors Club, YRT Maintenance crew volunteers, and Boy Scouts. More than 200 tires were removed from the river.
The Club has donated more than $3,700 to three local food banks in need of help during the COVID-19 pandemic. Receiving equal donations were the Belle Vernon Area Food Bank, the Perryopolis Food Bank, and the Washington Township-Fayette City Food Bank.

Tom Yoder trimmed hedges, mowed grass and generally cleaned up the grounds surrounding the shelter at Smithton Beach.
BVARotary is planning another effort to remove tires from the Youghiogheny River in late summer or early fall. The club and friends removed approximately 300 tires from the river last year.The club worked alongside Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling, Youghiogheny Canoe Outfitters, Belle Vernon Area High School Ecology Club and County Hauling on last year's project.
A major project of past-president Larry Golashewski was for the club to supply 6 benches for the new Smithton Pollinator & Wildlife Habitat. The habitat will aid the Great Migration of Monarch butterflies north from Mexico and their return to Mexico.
Club members, greeted by member and Smithton Council President Fred Foster, far left, visited the habitat to tour the habitat and view one to the benches the club donated.
