A major project has been the restoration of an old rail car into a history center for the Youghiogheny River Trail section of the Great American Passage.
Another major project was construction of a shelter along the Youghiogheny River Trail at Smiothton Beach.
The club also launched and maintains a project to display Veterans' banners in North Belle Vernon.
The club provided a police dog to the Rostraver Police Department.
The club also supported the Wounded Warriors organization with a concert.
Our Club has supported several international projects including Polio Plus, which is on the verge of irradiating polio, and supplying safe drinking water to many places in around the world.
At least once a year club members, with the help of members of the Belle Vernon Area High School and Frazier High School Interact clubs, clean up the I-70 ramps at North Belle Vernon.
The club over the years has hosted several foreign exchange students.
Another club project was to place markers at significant sites along the Youghiogheny River Trail. These are detailed in the railcar.
The club placed a marker at the site of the Darr Mine Disaster in Van Meter.
On Dec. 19, 1909, 239 miners were killed in a mine explosion.
